ABOUT PRECISION

BUILT FROM THE FIELD. BUILT FOR BUSINESS.

Precision Training & Business Systems was created to help skilled-trade and service companies build stronger systems, stronger leaders, and more capable teams.

We understand that running a field-based business is different.

Your employees aren't all sitting behind desks.

They're working in customers' homes, commercial buildings, mechanical rooms, construction sites, industrial facilities, warehouses, and service vehicles.

Every day, employees make decisions that affect safety, quality, customer relationships, productivity, and profitability.

As a company grows, managing all of that becomes increasingly difficult.

Precision helps build the infrastructure behind the work.

Systems. Leadership. Performance. Results.

WHY PRECISION EXISTS

GOOD COMPANIES CAN OUTGROW THE SYSTEMS THAT MADE THEM SUCCESSFUL.

Most skilled-trade companies don't begin with sophisticated operating systems.

They begin with people who know how to get the job done.

The owner makes decisions.

Experienced employees train new people.

Problems get solved as they happen.

Everyone knows everyone.

And for a while, it works.

Then the company grows.

Five employees become fifteen.

Fifteen become thirty.

More vehicles hit the road.

More customers need service.

Managers are promoted.

Departments develop.

Inventory grows.

And suddenly, the owner can't personally oversee everything anymore.

The business has reached a different stage.

What got the company here may not be enough to get it where it wants to go next.

THAT'S THE GAP PRECISION WAS CREATED TO HELP CLOSE.

MEET THE FOUNDER

TRAVIS RENSLOW

Founder & President

Precision Training & Business Systems

Travis Renslow built his career from the field up.

His professional background spans skilled trades, HVAC, construction, facilities maintenance, project management, business ownership, operations leadership, technical troubleshooting, employee development, and organizational systems.

He has:

Worked as a technician.

Managed projects.

Led teams.

Managed multimillion-dollar operations and projects.

Built and operated businesses.

Developed employees.

Created operational systems.

And worked inside organizations ranging from small field-service businesses to large-scale industrial environments.

That range of experience shaped a simple belief:

A BUSINESS CAN ONLY GROW AS STRONG AS THE SYSTEMS AND PEOPLE SUPPORTING IT.

EXPERIENCE FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE BUSINESS

THE FIELD AND THE OFFICE.

Precision's approach is shaped by understanding both.

There is the business management sees:

And then there is the business employees experience:

Revenue. The service call.
Labor. The installation.
KPIs. The jobsite.
Schedules. The customer.
Budgets. The equipment.
Margins. The truck.
Inventory. The warehouse.
Productivity. The tools.
Growth. The paperwork.
The supervisor.

The decisions that have to be made when nobody from management is standing there.

Strong operating systems have to work in both places.

A process that looks good in a conference room but fails in the field isn't a good process.

PRECISION BUILDS SYSTEMS FOR THE REAL OPERATING ENVIRONMENT.

EXPERIENCE ALSO MEANS LEARNING WHAT DOESN'T WORK.

Business experience isn't only defined by successes.

Some of the most valuable lessons come from difficult projects, rapid growth, poor systems, unexpected risk, incorrect assumptions, and decisions that look very different in hindsight.

Those experiences can teach lessons no classroom can fully replicate.

Growth without adequate infrastructure creates risk.

Revenue doesn't automatically mean profitability.

A successful project begins before the work starts.

Processes trapped inside people's heads don't scale.

Managers need systems just as much as employees do.

And assumptions can become extremely expensive.

Those lessons helped establish the philosophy that sits at the center of Precision today:

VERIFY. DON'T GUESS.

Understand the situation.

Gather the information.

Ask the right questions.

Measure what matters.

Make the decision.

Then verify the result.

That principle applies whether we're diagnosing equipment, evaluating an employee, reviewing a business process, or making a strategic decision.

WE AREN'T HERE TO TELL YOU HOW TO RUN YOUR TRADE.

YOU ALREADY KNOW YOUR BUSINESS.

Precision works with companies across skilled trades and field-service industries.

That doesn't mean we pretend to be the technical authority in every profession.

Your electricians know electrical work.

Your plumbers know plumbing.

Your technicians know their equipment.

Your project teams know their projects.

And your experienced employees possess knowledge that may have taken decades to develop.

Our job is to help your organization capture that knowledge, organize it, develop it, train it, measure it, and turn it into systems the company can continue using.

When specialized expertise is required, the right qualified professionals and subject-matter experts should be involved.

PRECISION PROVIDES THE FRAMEWORK THAT HELPS TURN EXPERTISE INTO AN ORGANIZATIONAL SYSTEM.

FROM TRIBAL KNOWLEDGE TO COMPANY KNOWLEDGE

Every experienced employee eventually leaves.

They retire.

They move.

They change careers.

They get promoted.

Or life simply changes.

When critical processes only exist in someone's head, the company is carrying unnecessary risk.

Precision helps organizations convert individual knowledge into company knowledge through:

Standard operating procedures

Training programs

Qualification systems

Career paths

Checklists

Management processes

Performance standards

Documentation

Assessments

Coaching systems

And structured employee development.

THE GOAL ISN'T TO REPLACE EXPERIENCE.

IT'S TO MAKE EXPERIENCE TRANSFERABLE.

OUR APPROACH

PRACTICAL OVER COMPLICATED.

A 300-page manual nobody reads isn't an operating system.

Neither is a folder full of templates nobody uses.

Precision believes a system should pass four tests.

IS IT CLEAR?

Can the people responsible for executing it understand what is expected?

IS IT PRACTICAL?

Can it actually be used in the environment where the work happens?

IS IT MEASURABLE?

Can leadership determine whether it's being followed and whether it's working?

IS IT SUSTAINABLE?

Can the company maintain the system after Precision leaves?

If not, we're not finished.

OUR MISSION

BUILD BETTER COMPANIES BY BUILDING BETTER SYSTEMS, BETTER LEADERS, AND MORE CAPABLE PEOPLE.

That means helping companies create:

Clear expectations.

Defined accountability.

Stronger leadership.

Better training.

Safer operations.

Repeatable processes.

Measurable performance.

Career opportunities.

Consistent customer experiences.

And systems capable of supporting sustainable growth.

Because the ultimate goal isn't simply to build a larger company.

IT'S TO BUILD A BETTER ONE.

THE PRECISION PRINCIPLES

CLARITY BEFORE ACCOUNTABILITY.

People can't consistently meet expectations that were never clearly defined.

SYSTEMS BEFORE SCALE.

Growth magnifies whatever already exists. Build the infrastructure capable of supporting it.

TRAIN BEFORE YOU BLAME.

Before deciding someone can't perform, make sure they've been given the tools, expectations, and training required to succeed.

MEASURE WHAT MATTERS.

Good decisions require good information.

LEADERS BUILD LEADERS.

A strong organization shouldn't depend on one person making every important decision.

IMPLEMENTATION OVER INFORMATION.

Knowing what should change isn't the same as changing it.

VERIFY. DON'T GUESS.

Assumptions are easy. Verification creates confidence.

WE DON'T CONSULT FROM THE SIDELINES.

Precision isn't built around delivering a presentation, making recommendations, and disappearing.

We believe implementation matters.

That means working alongside owners.

Developing managers.

Listening to employees.

Observing operations.

Building systems.

Training teams.

Measuring results.

Adjusting what doesn't work.

And helping the organization develop the capability to continue improving on its own.

BUILD IT.

IMPLEMENT IT.

TRAIN IT.

MEASURE IT.

IMPROVE IT.

THE GOAL ISN'T TO MAKE YOUR COMPANY DEPENDENT ON PRECISION.

It's exactly the opposite.

Our goal is to help create an organization where knowledge belongs to the company.

Where employees understand what's expected.

Where managers know what they own.

Where leaders develop other leaders.

Where processes are repeatable.

Where performance is measurable.

And where the owner can spend more time leading the future of the business instead of personally holding together its daily operations.

BUILD A BUSINESS THAT BENEFITS FROM YOUR LEADERSHIP — WITHOUT REQUIRING YOUR CONSTANT PRESENCE.

LET'S BUILD WHAT COMES NEXT.

If your company has reached the point where informal systems are no longer enough, Precision may be able to help.

We'll start by understanding your organization, your people, your challenges, and where you're trying to go.

Then we'll determine whether Precision is the right partner to help you build the systems to get there.
